Graduate School of Language Mediation
The Columbus Academy – Graduate School of Language Mediation is committed to ensuring excellence in the context of language training and professional skills development. It was established by a Decree of the Italian Ministry of Education Universities and Research issued on 22 June 2012 integrated with Decree No. 3178 of 20/12/2021 published in the Official Gazette No. 96 of 22 April 2022. Today it is one of the most innovative Language Mediation Campuses in Italy with cutting-edge teaching methodologies. It is located in a modern and roomy building in one of the most beautiful and easy-to-reach areas of Rome.
We offer a three-year Bachelor’s Course in Language Mediation Sciences (L-12) with different specializations. The goal of Columbus Academy is to help our students enter the world of work easily; to provide them with the professional skills in the legal, forensic, tourism, advertising and diplomatic field. For this reason, our curricula present peculiarities that make them unique in the national academic landscape.

Our campus extends over an area of over 1,500 meters with classrooms, a library, study rooms, a refreshment area, student’s offices, managerial offices, coordination and tutoring offices. Our modern facility is equipped with all technological and educational tools necessary for effective learning.
The course programs are genuine, up-to-date and unique; they are different from the ones taught in other Italian universities. Columbus Academy proposes not only to study traditional Western languages, but also Afro-Asiatic and Middle Eastern languages to help students access multinational companies and international organizations, such as the NATO and the UN.
Columbus Academy is one of the Language Mediation institutes in Italy that has signed the largest number of international agreements with foreign universities.
In our intercultural and multicultural training context, students have the opportunity to obtain a vocational language preparation also thanks to high-quality interpreting and translation techniques essential in language mediation. Our lectures include constantly updated, targeted and comprehensive training, as well as access to thematic in-depth workshops, training courses, conferences with international guests and Career Days open to all Columbus Academy students.
