Teaching Physical Education in Primary School: International Methodological Profiles

This post-graduate course aims to provide knowledge on methodologies for motor activities in primary schools.

Course Objectives

This post-graduate course is aimed at teaching specialized skills in support of the preparation for public competitive examinations for Professors of Sports Sciences in primary schools. Participants will deepen knowledge of the main subjects and will be prepared thoroughly by following a multidisciplinary and multimethod approach.

The post-graduate course aims to train professionals who will offer their expertise in primary schools, whether as part of the school staff or as external experts. The course, therefore, aims to provide specific skills regarding the psychopedagogical aspects of sports sciences. Participants will learn training techniques and deepen their knowledge of group and individual sport practices.

The post-graduate course will also develop language skills, that nowadays allow professionals to teach in heterogeneous and intercultural contexts.

Student’s Profile

The course is aimed at those who wish to develop high-profile skills in Sports Sciences and teach in public schools. They will also learn contents that may be useful to participate in public competitive examinations that will soon be scheduled.

The course develops highly specialized and professional profiles, aimed at those (both teachers and non-teachers) who wish to gain specific skills in teaching motor activities in primary schools. Participants will also deepen their intercultural and interlingual knowledge of English, French and Spanish.

Plan of Study

This post-graduate course is divided into teaching modules, each one developing specialized skills in the different subjects taught. Participants will also be taught specific study units and will receive preparation for public competitive examinations for Primary School Teachers in Physical Sciences.
They will be able to access the contents of the course 24 hours a day through an online platform.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Incompatible courses: to enrol on this postgraduate course, please refer to the Italian Ministerial Decree No. 930 of 29-07-2022, establishing the provisions for simultaneous enrolment in two university courses.

Written exam proving the skills gained in each macro-module. Final oral exam.
